Horses have survived for millennia because of their innate ability to be attuned to themselves, their herd, and to synchronize with nature’s ever-changing environments. They are superb models of non-predatory power offering clarity through instant physiological feedback. They pick up on our most subtle cues pinpointing behavior patterns of potential growth and learning.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness allows us to first attune to ourselves in order to truly be in tune with others. To be in relationship with a horse requires a state of mindfulness. Horses are naturally mindful. They are in a state of expanded awareness which allows them to be cognizant of their own needs, as well as the needs of the herd. As we make shifts within ourselves, we may see those changes reflected back to us by the horse.
